For more than thirty years, the annual Famous Fall Fling has drawn visitors to historic downtown Wise. The Fall Fling features more than one hundred vendors displaying Appalachian arts and crafts. The vendors in attendance at the Fall Fling showcase a variety of art mediums including: wood, pottery, photography, candles and soaps, antiques, and Native American and traditional Appalachian crafts. Additionally, endless events, such as the chili cook off, contests, and demonstrations, make the two-day festival family friendly by offering something for everyone. Memorial Day weekend in Coeburn Virginia draws bluegrass enthusiasts to the Annual Ralph Stanley Bluegrass Festival.
